Connecting with the Basecamp Edition

This page describes how to connect to Basecamp using AgileAgenda Basecamp edition.

Enable API access for your Basecamp account

Before you can use AgileAgenda Basecamp Edition, you must enable API access inside your Basecamp account.

• Log into your Basecamp account
• Click on the Dashboard tab in Basecamp.
• Click the Account tab and scroll down until you see "Basecamp API"
• Accept the Basecamp Terms of Service and enable the Basecamp API

Using AgileAgenda Basecamp Edition

1. Create your project in Basecamp like you normally would including milestones, todo items, and todo lists.
2. Log into Basecamp as you usually would.
3. Click on the "My Info" link in the upper right hand corner.
4. Scroll down and find your Basecamp Authentication Token. Copy it to your clipboard.
5. Launch AgileAgenda Basecamp Edition
   
   
   
   
6. Paste your authentication token into the API Key field.
7. Enter the URL to your Basecamp account in the URL field
   
   
   
   
8. Click the "OK" button. Agile Agenda will connect to Basecamp and retrieve your list of available Basecamp projects.
   
   
   
   
   
9. Select your Basecamp project and push the Load Project button.
10. AgileAgenda will now load your basecamp project. You can now use AgileAgenda Basecamp edition, and then press the "Save" button to upload your changes to your Basecamp project.
